Keith Powers
In the early 1970’s, Keith came to know Christ after hearing the Gospel message at Machias Valley Baptist Church in Machias, ME. Shortly after meeting Christ, Keith attended New Brunswick Bible Institute where he met Mary. From there, He then joined the Air Force and married Mary. After leaving the service, Keith and Mary attended to Valley Forge Christian College. The two befriended a couple from Ovid, NY where the Keith and Mary later moved. They have since attended First Baptist Church where Keith now serves as “Elder Over Exalting” where he provides oversight in all the ministries involved in FBC’s Gathered Worship times.

Richard (Dick) Ross
Dick is our “Elder Over Edifice” and works closely with FBC’s Deacons maintaining our Church’s facilities. Dick started attending First Baptist Church in the early 1950’s and in 1962 was saved and led to Christ by Pastor Edwin Black. After becoming a member, Dick was drafted into the military and had married Darla, with whom he had three children. While attending another church, the Lord spoke saying Dick was needed at First Baptist Church. Dick has since returned and now serves as Senior Elder assisting in monthly communion, offerings, hosting Bible Studies and meeting the various needs of the church building and maintenance.
Jeremy Porter
Jeremy was born into the First Baptist Church family where in 1991 he was saved. He attended, graduated and taught at the Christian School at First Baptist Church through which Jeremy had met his wife Heather and now has three children. After graduating from Liberty University, his involvement with the First Baptist Church increased as he assisted in running youth groups, AWANA, children's and adult Sunday Schools. Jeremy now serves as our “Elder Over Edification”. This puts all the ministries of FBC that deal primarily with the encouraging and building-up of one another under his oversight. In this capacity he leads the adult Bible study on Tuesday evenings.

Wayne Rowland
At a young age I accepted Jesus into my heart at a little Baptist church in LoveJoy NY. I didn’t start perusing Jesus until I was in my twenties and didn’t get serious about Jesus until I was 29. Almost right away God gave me an overwhelming concern for the unsaved and since then I’ve done what I could to seek and save that which is lost. In 2022 I have been selected to serve at First Baptist church of Interlaken as the Elder over Evangelism. I want to do what I can to set an example for, encourage, and train the membership in embracing their role in the sober task of winning souls for the Lord.
Jesse Barrett
Chaplain Jesse was saved in 1986 at the age of 7. Having been in church his entire life, Jesse felt called into ministry from his youth. He was faithful to the call by serving in many ministries in his home church, in Christ centered group homes with his wife Margo, and in the local jails. In the fall of 2016, First Baptist Church of Interlaken called on him to fill pulpit supply, and in March of 2017, Jesse became the Intern Pastor while he pursues his goals in Bible College. In 2018, First Baptist Church of Interlaken called him to be their Pastor. He serves as our “Elder Over Equipping” to provide the oversight and vision for FBC’s Teaching Ministries.
